Pastor Bagcine Ciliza, a charismatic leader, has dedicated his life to serving God and his community. Raised in the vibrant Duncan Village of East London and nurtured in the faith from a young age at Shad Mashologu Memorial Baptist Church under the guidance of Rev. Peter Mabena, his spiritual journey began early.  He's an accredited minister and a registered Religious Professional (ACRP registration #2018-G-01324), further showcasing his commitment to his calling.  His leadership roles are numerous and impactful: he's served on the Baptist Union Ministry Board, overseen vital missions work at Jubilee Hospital in Hammanskraal, and currently directs the Lefika Prayer & Retreat Centre, a testament to his dedication to spiritual growth and community support.

 

Since his appointment as Senior Pastor of Nancefield Baptist Church in 2018, his influence has expanded significantly.  He's fostered remarkable growth, reaching beyond the church's original location to impact over 1000 homes within Eldorado Park (population ~70,000).  This outreach has included impactful door-to-door evangelism, prayer walks, and substantial food and Bible distribution drives, resulting in the distribution of over 2,000 Bibles and 5,000 cans of food.  His leadership is marked by tangible results and a deep commitment to serving the community's needs.

 

Beyond his pastoral duties, Pastor Ciliza is a prolific writer and a highly sought-after speaker, captivating audiences with his passionate and insightful delivery.  His six published books, including the incredibly successful "Endless Love" (which sold out before its official print release), showcase his ability to articulate complex spiritual concepts with clarity and passion.  His dynamic speaking style resonates deeply with diverse audiences, making him a highly sought-after guest at conferences, retreats, and community events across South Africa.  He's known for his ability to weave personal anecdotes with theological depth, creating engaging and thought-provoking presentations. His appearances on Link FM Christian radio (as a host in the early 2000s), Keith Ngesi Radio, and Tshwane TV (for motivational sessions) further illustrate his reach and influence.

 

His commitment extends beyond the spiritual realm.  During 2011-2012, he served as a Ward Committee member for Tshwane Municipality (Ward 41), becoming the first to establish crucial sporting codes—tennis, soccer, and volleyball—in Silverton. He also provides spiritual guidance to local police officers, conducting regular prayer sessions before they begin their daily duties.  As a registered Marriage Officer and Commissioner of Oaths, he runs Ciliza & Associate Counselling Practice with offices in Johannesburg, Mamelodi, Hammanskraal, and Pretoria North, offering invaluable marriage counseling and family restoration services.
